[ Is it even Kylo Ren if he doesn't have inopportune timing?

Her hand stills where it's begun to glide along his spine of its own accord. For a long moment, that small hiccup in her movements is the only indication that she has heard him at all.

You don't know me, she wants to say. Not well enough to love her, surely. The more she contemplates it, however, the less absurd of the concept becomes. She hadn't needed to know Han Solo to adore him; knowing the type of man he was, witnessing the kindness in him, had sufficed. More's the point, she and Ben share a bond that transcends any other connections they can forge in this life. That intimacy is irreplaceable, meaningful — a familiarity she cannot ignore.

The crux of the matter still remains. No one has ever loved her before. Not in this way. And now Ben has handed it to her, and she has little idea of what to do with it, how to grapple with such a weighted confession.

What she does know is that it wouldn't be right to accept it in this circumstances, when he's still under duress.

If you still feel that way in one week's time, tell me again.

[ And then, and only then, can they discuss it. She doesn't want his sentiment to originate from a place of desperation, or an internal struggle, only for it to be rescinded. ]
