[ Rey makes a face while the coarse fabric of his towel rubs against her face with just a little too much vigor — some of the fluids left behind have dried and take elbow grease — but she doesn't pull away, at least. That could be a good thing, recognizing that he's doing this for them, or it could be one of those things where she's FOURTEEN YEARS OLD SO SHE LETS THE ADULT MAKE THE DECISIONS FOR HER. HIS DECISIONS ARE QUESTIONABLE.

She takes the towel from him after he kisses her, wiping her hands off on it too. As if that will help. She does a piss poor job compared to him. Definitely lower on the cleanliness scale. But she's doing her best.

[ As though he doubted that. As though anyone wouldn't. But then, for the kid who was abandoned by her parents on Jakku, announcing that intent seems kind of significant. It's a promise that matters — to her, anyway.

She leaves then, weaving her way through the halls of the ship to find Rowana.
