[ She challenges, petulant. It's childish, certainly, but he had begun this by prodding at her like an adolescent. And though he parades himself as though he is some position of enlightenment, more knowledgeable than she, he is diligent in digging for answers.

In this, he is just as lost as she. Allowing the curiosity to eat away at him is more satisfying than reciting what she had seen, the voices curling around the shell of her ear, whispering to her as she'd come closer.

She stands, then, a sudden movement. It doesn't sit well with her that he is looming, pacing around his cage like a predator searching out a weakness in the structure of his cage. If he means to intimidate her, it won't work; every muscle she has tenses, prepping for a skirmish.
