And almost tags you with the entirely wrong ice queen

[ This is just what Skywalkers do Rey. See horrifically bad circumstances and run headlong into them. Never tell him the odds. But her concern permeates his being and--

He's reasonable enough (in this specific au) to know that what ever she's feeling isn't coming from a bad place. This is a dumbshit idea, they are both nuclear bombs ready to blow. He knows somewhat what his own potential is, even if he down plays it intensely, and he looks at her and sees an equal. ]

We don't have to go straight to him-- [ Han will throw a fit and a half. It's better to get back to the main freighter and get supplied up and a good nights rest on a halfway decent bed before telling his father "hey we need to see Luke now"

But that does beg the question. ]
-- I was talking with him earlier, through the Force. Something cut us off.

[ Funny thing being he doesn't realize that was their bond and not the darkness. ] I'm not sure how secure any line to him is right now.

[ The First Order appearing, the Resistance just barely lifting off the ground, it all lined up too neatly with this. His mother wouldn't send resources to Luke, because it's Luke Skywalker. She trusted her brother to handle anything that came his way. His father felt much the same.

So was it safer here? Living with his father and running from the dark with Rey? Relying on her to chase away a monster that'd been haunting him his entire life?

Or does he chase down this trail of breadcrumbs and see where it leads?

To be honest, neither option seemed great. ]
Did you see it?

[ He means the visions he saw. He's not sure if they both see the same things. ]
