i'm glad it gave us more to work with

[ At Han's encouraging, Rey enters the fray, settling in between Han and Chewie to help them out. At first she works at Han's direction, but when it becomes clear that he's being, well, Han, she promptly calls him out on it. He grumbles, sounds generally insulted, but ultimately proves that her way of doing things is indeed the better way.

Notably, it's the same way Ben had suggested they do things TWENTY MINUTES AGO. It's fine though. It's happening now.

With their powers combined, it doesn't take half as long to get the fuel lines in as it normally would, but it's still more laborious than getting them out. There's no convenient yanking here. Chewie dips out halfway through to get the injector replaced.

The sun is gone by the time they are done, and Rey's sprawled out on the floor of the Falcon, arms spread wide. Her stomach gives a punctuating growl as Han finishes tightening the hose coupling. The steel floors of the Falcon, at least, are cool enough to soothe the way she's overheating from work in the heat, even out of the direct sun.

It was a three day job, really, and they'd gotten it done in two. Rey wants to pat herself on the back for that, but instead settles for giving herself a break on the floor.
