Kylo/Hux: This is such a huge maybe it's almost a no. I am not down for fluffy Kylo/Hux. I know everyone and their mom with an armchair psychologist degree wants to diagnose Kylo Ren/Ben Solo with whatever mental illness checks all the boxes. I know Bipolar and Borderline personality disorder are two popular illnesses to cite when it comes to his mental health. Along with a healthy dose of citing him as a sociopath/psychopath. However, I'm not going to be using those illnesses/personality disorders in how I play Kylo. While they fit on paper, I don't believe "what's wrong with him" presents in the correct fashion in canon for any one of the above listed issues.

I believe Kylo Ren/Ben Solo is suffering from: Recurring Chronic Major Depression it could be passed down through their family given what we know of Anakin and what happened with Luke; Post Traumatic Stress Disorder From his force powers manifesting with him having little control over it as a kid, from being sent away to Luke after his mother couldn't handle him on her own anymore, from his father leaving one day and never coming back, from having a voice whispering in his head his entire life, from that voice being a predator who preyed on his weaknesses and molded him into what he wanted Ben to be, from Luke Skywalker holding a lightsaber above his head, from abuse after abuse from Snoke, and probably a Ton more. Abandonment issues stemming first from his parents (And quite probably friends he had who left for whatever reason, or bridges he burned on his own) and then just. The entire force tbh. And abandonment issues is where he gets his unchecked rage, he, in canon, is quite literally triggered into a rage whenever he confronts someone who he felt abandoned him, or when he feels rejected or left behind. Finally he is a victim of Brainwashing and indoctrination from Snoke. Snoke is a narcissist who was using Kylo as a means to an end, it's been stated and shown that he was ready to kill Kylo after the Last Jedi since he had become unbalanced and unpredictable. If you don't agree with what I am saying here (Which is fine :) ), then I suggest you don't play with me. I am fairly confident in this being the way I see and play Kylo.

I play him as having triggers. I won't get into the reasoning behind each one, but i'll specify the specifics which come to mind: Abandonment (Perceived or real), his family, loss of control (Physically, emotionally, mentally, through the force)

She takes the towel from him after he kisses her, wiping her hands off on it too. As if that will help. She does a piss poor job compared to him. Definitely lower on the cleanliness scale. But she's doing her best. ]

[ As though he doubted that. As though anyone wouldn't. But then, for the kid who was abandoned by her parents on Jakku, announcing that intent seems kind of significant. It's a promise that matters — to her, anyway.

She leaves then, weaving her way through the halls of the ship to find Rowana. ]

[ Rowana doesn't like Rey's proposal one bit. The minute Rey marches up to her, Rowana can smell it on her. Not the sex. That would be a real bad time. But the fact that she plans to make a request — ask for a favor, some special treatment, something like that. And Rowana immediately laughs and puts her hand up and tells her that's not how it goes here.

But still Rey pleads her case.

She starts with the Force. Rowana has little compassion for this connection they feel, for her nightmares, for the Dark Side (whatever that means). It doesn't mean anything to her. She's never believed in it, she says, and the Force has never done her any favors. She deals with what's in front of her.

But having it dangled in front of her and denied (or at least, she'd gotten her own hopes up, and that made it feel dangled in front of her) pushes Rey towards panic. The dark swells around her. And then something more genuine comes out — the fear at the root of all of it. ]

I don't know anyone else here.

[ She confesses this, a strain in her voice. ]

Please. I'm not used to being around anyone else, but Ben … I feel safe with Ben. I know he won't try to hurt me. Just please.

[ And Rowana does, at least, take pity on a girl from Jakku who's been scrapping and surviving and has learned not to trust anyone as far as she can throw them. So Rowana gives her an awkward pat on the shoulder — not maternal at all, but brusque and business-like — and sends her off to grab her things.

'I'll have the bunk cleared out for you,' she says.

Rey goes back to the original bunk she was assigned, greets Jayne, and collects her quarterstaff. It's the only thing she has. ]

[ Ben feels the dark from his side of the ship-- wonders at it briefly and considers going to investigate until he's interrupted. First by Chewbacca, simply checking in and explaining that they'll be finding a port within the next cycle or so to stock up on supplies-- and then Rowana.

No one on this ship likes the Force. Not really. Ben thinks it's probably purposeful. His father didn't understand it and didn't want to touch it.

She asks if all of this is what this is about-- He's not entirely sure how to answer that beyond his blunt affirmation that yes Rey is Force Sensitive and he believes this is part of something bigger. And with that response she gets a look on her face that is similar to the one she's given Han hundreds of times before.

'I hope you know what you're doing, kid.'

Yeah right. Even he isn't foolish enough to PRETEND TO think he knows what he's doing. But the fact was he and Rey were in danger from something. Something which coiled them together, interlinked them until they felt the same. He doesn't tell Rowana this-- what point would there even be?

Quite frankly, he's afraid of what anyone would think if they knew of his looming darkness, that it was coming back and sucking him in.

Instead she requests his help in clearing out his bunkmate's shit and informs him that 'your girlfriend' wanted to stay in there with him. The good thing about having the emotional range of string cheese when it comes to expression? His general impassive face can be read as annoyance.

Shit cleared out Rowana will grab another crewmate to find someplace to store the items and gives Ben one last look. Trying to figure this kid out.

Sorry Rowana. It's Force Bullshit. Y'ain't gonna figure it out that easily. ]

[ Rey arrives shortly after Rowana leaves, her staff slung over her shoulder, a single spare set of clothes in her arms that Rowana had given her earlier. She looks the part of a starved and lost orphan. Because she is. That's what she is. If only her hair were still wet from her shower, she'd look even sadder, but she has her two possessions and a pleading expression on her face when she arrives at his door and knocks to be allowed in. ]

[ Crewmember and Rowana have fucked right off by the time Rey comes knocking and when Ben answers the door it--
