I know everyone and their mom with an armchair psychologist degree wants to diagnose Kylo Ren/Ben Solo with whatever mental illness checks all the boxes. I know Bipolar and Borderline personality disorder are two popular illnesses to cite when it comes to his mental health. Along with a healthy dose of citing him as a sociopath/psychopath. However, I'm not going to be using those illnesses/personality disorders in how I play Kylo. While they fit on paper, I don't believe "what's wrong with him" presents in the correct fashion in canon for any one of the above listed issues.

I believe Kylo Ren/Ben Solo is suffering from: Recurring Chronic Major Depression it could be passed down through their family given what we know of Anakin and what happened with Luke; Post Traumatic Stress Disorder From his force powers manifesting with him having little control over it as a kid, from being sent away to Luke after his mother couldn't handle him on her own anymore, from his father leaving one day and never coming back, from having a voice whispering in his head his entire life, from that voice being a predator who preyed on his weaknesses and molded him into what he wanted Ben to be, from Luke Skywalker holding a lightsaber above his head, from abuse after abuse from Snoke, and probably a Ton more. Abandonment issues stemming first from his parents (And quite probably friends he had who left for whatever reason, or bridges he burned on his own) and then just. The entire force tbh. And abandonment issues is where he gets his unchecked rage, he, in canon, is quite literally triggered into a rage whenever he confronts someone who he felt abandoned him, or when he feels rejected or left behind. Finally he is a victim of Brainwashing and indoctrination from Snoke. Snoke is a narcissist who was using Kylo as a means to an end, it's been stated and shown that he was ready to kill Kylo after the Last Jedi since he had become unbalanced and unpredictable. If you don't agree with what I am saying here (Which is fine :) ), then I suggest you don't play with me. I am fairly confident in this being the way I see and play Kylo.

I play him as having triggers. I won't get into the reasoning behind each one, but i'll specify the specifics which come to mind: Abandonment (Perceived or real), his family, loss of control (Physically, emotionally, mentally, through the force)

She still seems a little spooked and rightfully so-- this was an insane turn around. Not because of what he wants, but because of the very fact he's not sure how to process what happened.

He sits up on their pile of blankets and roots around a near by bag of supplies she brought, the same one which contained their clothes and-- ah good. A few towels. Old and mostly useless, but he can at least mop up the mess from his mouth and dick before he rights his pants again. He sets it aside for Rey to use as he just-- bundles himself in blankets. Burrowing. The chill is hitting him now that Rey's not on top of him.

Whenever she starts back he'll open up the blanket cocoon he's made for her to come nestle in and also gesture to the designated Cum Rag.

He has questions. Questions that do need answers, but-- right now he doesn't want to ask them. This is a temporary spell, he's sure. He doesn't want to break it. ]

[ The thoughts tumbling through his mind elude her. Their connection is still tenuous at best — a repercussion from the drug that had been circulating his system, no doubt — for her to skim the surface, assess and read him, whether it's intentional or unconscious prodding. She comes away with the vague sense that they're there, rattling around his skull, but doesn't make any attempt to intrude further.

Maybe her moment away from him will prove beneficial. She assumes it should, slow to return as if the seconds away from him will grant some illusion of privacy for his musings. When she does, it's with one ration pack in tow — for Ben and Ben alone. She's already eaten her share for the day; if they want their supplies to last them, they'll have to conserve what they can. ]

[ Unceremoniously, she plants it on his bare chest. In her movements, the rag catches her attention. Oh. Rey looks vaguely embarrassed as she snatches it up, running up the length of her thigh to wipe it away, and holding it between her legs for a few moments. ]

There's no point, [ she decides, uncaring if she's vulgar when she adds: ] It's just going to keep leaking out, anyway.

[ He's not too bothered when she slides back in, grabbing the ration from her and starting to tear into it. Not a five-star meal but he won't complain. ]

While she lacks the energy for a roll of her eyes, her tone is the vocal equivalent. She's never met anyone so — dainty as Ben Solo, a man who turns his nose up at rations that taste far better than bland portions. The very notion is boggling to Rey; struggling to earn what meager meals she could has given her an appreciation for whatever scrap of edible food she can find. ] And it's all we have for now. Get used to it.

[ If nothing else, the island has resources Skywalker had capitalized on. Maybe they can do the same once they've learned the land for themselves. ]

[ JFC He's getting lectured and he hasn't even said anything, just made a vague look of not entirely enjoying the thing. ]

[ Really the biggest advantage of being Snoke's apprentice and then the Supreme Leader was that you had first dibs on meals. And even the rations he was served were far superior to anything that the storm troopers or the Resistance would have on hand.

[ "It's fine", he says, after pulling faces at his calorie bar. Unconvinced, she cracks open an eye and tilts her head back in order to confront him with a pointed look. Ben Solo, prissiest ever. ]

[ He makes a noise that approximates to "I'll look how ever the fuck I want" before resuming chewing the slightly upgraded cardboard. He kinda wonders how she could be comfortable laying right there against his chest as he just sat there chewing. Sounds like hell for someone with misophonia, but he's not complaining. Well, about her being close like this. About the rations. Yes. We've established that.

That said, he'll grab another from the pack and start on that one as well. Truthfully, his appetite's shut down a bit. He still doesn't entirely feel like eating, at this point it's more because he knows he needs to eat.

[ She still has his come running out of her, and he's already talking about dressing. With reasoning that sounds like a shoddy excuse to her, no less. Maybe she'd misunderstood what fucking her must have meant for him if he's so hasty about shaking her from his side so the both of them can right themselves and... return back to where they had been before this had happened. Or so she's assuming, anyway.

Whatever the case, it feels like avoidance. Avoidance of her, specifically, and the lingering intimacy of post-sex contact. Her face falls into a frown, dejected, as she moves to sit up. One hand clutches the blanket to her chest not for modesty's sake, but a lacking desire to be naked and vulnerable in his presence now. ]
